I’m Back!
In the year that’s passed since I first created this tumblr account because of a class requirement (obvious from the nature of my posts), it seems this platform has really become popular. So, now that I have some funny friends on here, I’m going to try to remember it and update frequently…well, at least every now and then. Plus, I’m pretty sure this is my last remaining online identity that my boss and coworkers don’t know about. So look out.
wordpress vs. wordpress mu
This is officially the 5th time I have deleted wordpress from my comp. Does anyone know if there’s away to have both regular wordpress and wordpress mu installed on my SQL database? The file names are similar and are over-riding each other, but I thought there was a way to have both installed?
Content for the snow
I’m editing the bios we have for the panelists…and then I’ll email them to everyone. Because that’s all I know to do without being in class. That email from Johnson ravaged my brain. I’m scared for tomorrow.
issue downloading drupal
Uhhhhhhhhhh…the issue is that I don’t know how to do it. Here are the steps I’ve tried:
1. Went to www.drupal.com, realized it wasn’t the site I needed.
2. Went to www.drupal.org, clicked “download Drupal 6.15”
3. My computer can’t unzip .gz files, so I googled “free unzip gz software”
4. Went to http://freeware.intrastar.net/zipunzip.htm and downloaded the first software program that listed .gz capability — “Ultimate Zip”
5. Tried to download Drupal 6.15 again — saved the file to my desktop, and then opened it using “Ultimate Zip”
6. Pretty sure the unzip program did something...just not sure what. There was a long list of drupal-related stuff and install options. When I double-clicked “drupall install,” a popup said it already existed.
7. Basically I got nowhere but into a circle that makes no sense. Thanks drupal. Why not just use regular zip files???

Figuring out drupal
As much as I’m looking forward to learning more about the stuff that makes sites run, I’m pretty confused about all the acronyms and techy words that go with learning about drupal. That being said, I’m glad to know that there’s a group of people nearby who will most likely be able to answer any questions we will have in the future. So American Forum, bring it on…we can build anything ;)
